David Simmons is an economist and author who, after a seven-year apprenticeship, spent 27 years working in the printing industry.  During that time he started researching into economic and political affairs and subsequently wrote and published his first book, “Economic Power.”  He later wrote and published “Ideals and Dogma – A Critique of Pure Marxism”. He then returned to formal education and studied economics to degree level, followed by politics and sociology to post-graduate level.

He then became a lecturer in economics and wrote another three books, including his latest e-book, “What’s the Worst that could Happen

David is passionate about bringing about a small business society and writes and lectures about its benefits, compared with the significant negative effects of the large business society which currently prevails. He is also concerned with equality, democracy and environmental issues, and has grown aware of how interdependent complex issues are, and of how subject disciplines limit our understanding of problems that do not in the real world have academics boundaries.
